The transfer from the wallet “vitalik.eth” was reported by Chinese cryptojournalist Colin Wu (Colin Wu). The 2077 Collective, an organization made up of developers, researchers, and marketers, is positioning itself as the unofficial marketing arm of Ethereum. Their goal is to promote and improve Ethereum’s image by supporting various community initiatives.
This is not the first time Vitalik Buterin has demonstrated his generosity. In May, he donated 30 ETH, worth $113,000 at the time, to a fund to help the founders of cryptomixer Tornado Cash, Alexey Pertsev and Roman Shtorm, thus supporting the development of decentralized technologies.
Previously, Buterin also sold his memcoins SHIB, AKITA and ELON for 15,719 ETH, and donated the proceeds to several charitable organizations.
