Ben Chow, co-founder of decentralized exchange Meteora, has resigned following the controversy surrounding the LIBRA memcoin launched by Argentine President Javier Milley.
Chow explained that his involvement in the project was limited to IT support, including commenting on the liquidity curve and verifying the token after launch. He stated that neither he nor the Meteora team owned or managed LIBRA tokens.
The community accused the Jupiter platform of insider trading of LIBRA. It is alleged that Jupiter could have influenced Meteora, participated in increasing the token’s trading volume and setting high fees. However, the company said that it had nothing to do with the asset, and learned about the launch of the memcoin a few minutes before its release.
