Brazilian digital bank Nubank has decided to stop supporting its cryptocurrency project Nucoin. Trading of the token on the platform was suspended on September 10, 2024.
The official statement from the bank says that this decision was made in order to protect clients from potential volatility in the Nucoin market due to the closure of the project.
The ability to buy and sell Nucoin tokens will be completely stopped for the next 15 days. Clients who have more than 100 reals in Nucoin in their accounts will be able to exchange them for the stablecoin USDC. They will have until December 9, 2024, to carry out this operation.
