The international interbank transfer systеm SWIFT is taking a new step towards integrating digital assets into the traditional financial systеm. Next year, more than 11,000 banks around the world will be able to conduct transactions with cryptocurrencies and other digital assets through the SWIFT platform.
This initiative, which is starting in North America, Europe and Asia, is aimed at creating a single universal channel for banks to interact with the world of digital currencies. Previously, SWIFT successfully completed a number of international pilot projects related to central bank digital currencies (CBDC).
According to David Pinger, CEO and co-founder of the Warden protocol, this step is a breakthrough in the field of integration of traditional finance and decentralized platforms. He notes that the creation of such a connection will accelerate the process of asset tokenization, attract significant investment from the traditional financial sector and simplify the integration of digital assets into existing banking systems.
